Today we’re turning scrap wood into a charming Christmas tree sign using snowflake cutouts, fabric scraps, and simple layering techniques. This is one of those projects that proves you don’t need fancy supplies to create something meaningful — just a few leftovers, a little creativity, and a heart for making.
In this live tutorial, I’ll walk you through:

SUPPLIES USED:
- Scrap wood
- Metal Star (wood, plastic, or even a string could work as well)
- Snowflakes (wooden or plastic could work too)
- Chalk Paint (I used Plaster by Waverly)
- Glitter (optional for sparkle effect)
- Gold Rub & Buff
- E7000 or other multipurpose glue
- Scissors
- Paint Brushes & Water
- Mod Podge
- Sanding Block or file
- Hot Glue Gun/Glue
