I bought this mat to protect my cutting mat I use for quilting. It works great for that, but I will say it is NOT a cutting mat. I made the mistake, out of habit, of cutting with my rotary cutter on it, bad move, won't do that again. LOL. It will protect my quilting mat from all the fun stuff that gets spilled during crafts that paints, inks and glue are a part of.
