Yes Angela, by sealing you protect the mod podge from becoming tacky again and sticking to drink wear and ruining the design.

I have seen a lot of coasters, but if you seal it, does it stop the coaster from absorbing the moisture from the glass sweating?

@Nancy- I recommend using clear engine spray for sealer- I get mine at Lowes (anything that’s good for over 500 degrees f) I do one light coat, let sit 24 hours, then a second light coat and let sit another 24 hours to fully cure.
